Rear Slideout header

Everything above this header and to the rear of the roof rib in the far left of the pic eventually gets cut of for a new fiberglass cap. I just gotta get mother nature to cooperate a little more.

Slideout framing done

The darker metal in the photo is all new steel. Its comes from the mill with this black finish an it that helps keep it from rusting. It must be wash down with lacqure be for priming.

Rear slideout jamb

This jamb is to support the rear of the slideout. It goes from the header allway down to the bottom of the bumper. Yes, it did take 3 hours to cut out the old 1 1/2 by 1 1/2 tube from this area.

Framing for 2nd of 4 slideouts

The rest of the sill has been finished on the passenger side. The framing for the rear passenger side slideout is started. The two old window frames remain and have to come out and a new header is to replace them. The weight of the motor is giving me fits back here as its main support is rotted out also.

New metal gets to the rear of the bus

This is almost halfway through the rust! whew who!!!!!!!!!

rust

I cut this out allready. I figure im about halfway through the rust removal process.

The rust is getting turned into dust!!!

Back passenger side corner. Date stamp wrong on pic. Notice my big daddy griding wheel. Gatta hang on to this one.
